So the guy working at the Macy's furniture department is making $60k/yr selling couches. Yup, and that's the way the world goes around. He decided he was a good salesman, chose a job that would make him some money and took it on. Just think how the guy feels selling right next to him that's only making $25k/yr because his sales tactics aren't as good. These guys work nights and weekends just like teachers do as well. Is their job as important? Not at all, but they're the ones getting paid. Why? Because their salary comes from a choice by individuals to make a purchase. As a teacher yours comes from people who are forced to pay money on something they own so that you can have a job. That is a HUGE difference.

I always knew that my sofa was more valuable to me than my son's education.
