Waiting to hear from NVC

On June 24 I recieved my NOA2. Now my case is being passed from uscis to nvc..correct? How long is the average waiting peroid to hear from nvc with my case number, to be able to make medical appointments and an interview date?

You may never hear from NVC. Your fiance/fiancee should be hearing from the embassy. You can call the NVC if you want to inquire.

I waited 31 days to get the case # from NVC. Be patient and give them a call every single day. Your fiancée will be contacted by the embassy through the contact information you provide on the original petition. Meantime NVC also will send you a letter to inform you they sent the petition to the embassy.

The California Service Center has fallen way behind on processing approved petitions and getting them sent to the NVC. If the NVC is contacted they will tell you to wait. After 15 business days you can email a scan of the approval notice and they will inquire with the CSC as to where your petition is. I'm not sure if it helps, but I'm waiting also for the NVC to receive the approved petition from California. Approval date was 6-28.

I contacted NVC and they said they haven´t recieved my case yet. That was 2 weeks after my approval. They contacted the uscis for me and told me its in route. They then told me to wait 6-8 weeks. Would that 6-8 weeks be from my approval date or from the nvc recieves my petition?

We never recieved a letter either. Call the NVC, skip the automated system, and press 0 for an operator. Give them your WAC number and the birth dates for you and your fiancee. They will give you the information that you need. Good luck....

There is a major slow down at NVC (more like CSC actually), and I can tell you, you and I are in the same boat. June 24, nothing going on. If you're a K1, do NOT bother with the automated system because it does not log K1s, ever. Call a person. Bother them. Keep calling. I think many NOAs from 6/20 have been accepted, and today one 6/21 was logged. Good news? So next week, it should be our time.
