Canada - visa?

I am planning on going for business trip to Canada early August. My wife is on AOS and already has EAD/AP combination card. She has Russian Citizenship/passport. Does she need to apply for Canadian visa to accompany me on the trip? Can she just use her Russian passport and AP card to enter Canada?

If she gets her GC before your trip, no visa needed; otherwise, she does.

I asked a similar question to the Canadian Embassy in 2006 about a trip to Calgary (which we never made--but that's another story in itself), they told me exactly as above (but did not answer the potential "red-flag" question, the fact that she was married to a dual Canuck/Yank at the time).
