Ok, 3 hours wait (1-4pm)

officials were very nice always!

Fisrt to arrive, last to leave, being early does not help!

Biometrics (fingerprints) --have clean fingers. One person was rescheduled because they had a wound on their finger (a small wound).

Interview:

Engagement ring was looked at.

How did you meet? Where exactly did you meet? When did you meet in person? How long did you meet with fiance last time you meet?

Does fiance want to have children? When do you want to have children?

Does fiance work or go to school?Where do they work or go to school?

Do they have brothers/sisters? Does fiance parents know about the marriage?

Do your parents know about the marriage? Has fiance met you parents/ siblings? Have you met fiance's parents/siblings?

Does fiance own a house? Does the bank own the house or fiance owns the house? (I had submitted house documents for I-134)

This is all I can remember right now. Seems like easy questions to fill the time (5 minutes) If you really have a relationship, this interview is easy.

One girl being interviewed (not us) was asked how many times she had sex with her fiance. This is shocking, I know, but it happened.

It seems they do a lot of checking. I am in my 3rd career (back in school again for 2nd degree) and they knew to ask about school.

They checked...

So, just be honest and take lots of evidence-- they are very nice in Bucharest, dont worry! Oh and stay at Hotel Intercontinental. Its 50 meters from the embassy. And Bio-Medica was only $70 USD for medical. Hope this helps some

Romanians to be together! I am so happy I have my Deiutza! She is what I live for now! And I'm so proud of her for making the medical and interview a success.

Hello my friends.

Cory just found tonight that she will need to registrate our marriage with the romanian consulate in USA. The fee for this process is about $194 if done within 6 months after the marriage and $294 if done after the 6 months period. There are some problems that makes this process a bit on the impossible side. First, we don't know which one has jurisdiction over Puerto Rico. Second, regardless of which one does, we would need to get on a plane to get there which makes the process more expensive.

So the question is...........is this process really necessary? Is this requirement the same for every country? Can this be done directly in Romania? Can this be done online? What could happen if we don't do this?

So as you can see, this is not so easy to swallow specially after the long K-1 and AOS process not counting the costs of establishing ourselves after the marriage.

Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated.

PEACE............And may all of you that are still waiting get good news soon.

When you love someone from the bottom of your heart; so much that you are willing to give your life for your loved one, time and distance takes a backseat. Only love prevails. And with love in you hearts you can overcome anything.

January 21, 2010 - Submitted AOS

January 25, 2010 - Cory received her SSN

March 9, 2010 - Received appointment for biometrics - will be on March 18

March 18, 2010 - Biometrics done

She thought that if a woman changed her name after marriage she might have to. By asking in the romanian forum here http://forum.romanian-portal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27 she got answers pointing to that. Now on the other hand, she didn't change her name after marriage so probably she don't need to change her passport but still need to register the marriage. The knowledge on the matter is very little so I hope also that somebody with more experience sheds some light into the subject.
