Hey all!

I sent my packet out on July 29, and it arrived on Aug 1st. I haven't gotten any NOAs or anything. I paid with a cashier's check for both the I-130 and I-485. I called my bank and they told me that the checks were cashed on Aug 5th, but I have yet to get anything in the mail! I'm guessing that when they cash your check, they are looking at your paperwork at that point? How soon after would one receive a NOA after the checks were cashed?

Hard copy NOA never arrived at our apartment (we've had problems with mail since we moved there : :angry: ). Called the organization that's helping with our case and they received copy of NOA 7/26 but no biometrics appointment letter.

Getting kinda worried and DO NOT want to miss my appointment (I was actually planning on a walk-in attempt). Online status says everything was received 7/18 and under initial review - would the biometrics appointment be updated on-line?

I've gone through July filers and bio appointments seem to be taking awhile but still...and I haven't received RFE *knocks on wood*

:dance: :dance: :dance: guess what was waiting in the mailbox for me??!! biometrics appointment for next Friday August 19th. Should I push my luck and try for early walk in on Monday? It's only 4 days difference but there's a paid internship that will only wait until Nov. 1st for me to have my EAD.... time for decisions. No worries...you guys are definitely not alone!! :) We are getting a little paranoid...I might try to give them a call just to see if I can get some information. It's strange to see how some people get their appointment letter at the same time as their NOA1. I have no idea why things are always so inconsistent with USCIS...hopefully we all hear something this week!!

I still don't have mine either and my NOA arrived on July 5th,I know the time you wait varies depending on your local office but I'm definitively getting

paranoid and irritated about.My hubby called on August 7th,and a very NOT helpful lady told him that we just need to keep waiting,and she coulf not do anything about it.

i didn't realize there are quite a few july 2011 AOS filers forum. I have been posting on the other. Wouldn't it be better to just have one forum.

This is for filers AOS'ing from a work or travel visa, or any other kind of study, work, religious visa. The other forum is for July filers adjusting from family based petitions (k1's and the likes)
