Well, my friend told me that it is the year of the cat, so i should get a cat this year. I told my wife this and she said that if I got a cat, that she would ăn thịt con mèo, and not only that, but that she would ăn thịt con chim so that I couldn't chơi với con mèo. :help:

Birds yes. Cats no. Dogs are common in the north, in the south it's only occasionally eaten by the guys who "nhau".

I think your wife just doesn't want any pets and just wanted to make sure you don't bring one home LOL.

A restaurant in Saigon got busted recently for stocking several hundred cats, but not because it's illegal to eat cats. They got busted because they specialize in fox meat and were subsituting cat meat and charging fox money. They got busted for fraud.

edit: is there something in the profile if i can see a person is white or viet? that would make a big difference for me contextually when reading these posts :)

much smaller than quail.. had quail here and there... these were about the size of a chick just hatched... sparrow size
