we have recieved the visas of my lil sis and mother and im feeling like donkey sh*t

I think it is nothing more than the priority dates coming current and then your ap having to go thru procedure... your name is Ahmed and if im not mistaken it is a common name so if you read thru the link i posted above its a matter of making sure you are who you are and not somebody else im sure.

my husband is also on ap although we only have a little over a month gone its very hard and difficult and i dont think anybody understands that hasnt had to go thru it... they give you no real answers when you call ...u have no idea whats happening... its very difficult at best.

I know they kept my husbands passport and told us mandatory ap for 45 days but we also know that it could very well last much longer...altho we pray it wont but we just dont know until that time comes.

Yeah it seems your dates are finally current and they can issue the visas except now you actually are on ap and probably because of your name Ahmed is common i think so they are verifying in detail ab

no i asked that wht the priority dates have to do with AP im confused now please explain

the person applying for their families has a specific category, Im applying for my husband and im us citizen so we applied cr1 visa... there are no wait times for his visa to be approved and given (other than the cruel AP)

but other ppl may not be us citizens and their category of applying for a family member meets another criteria of having to be issued visas only when that visa becomes current. They only issue a certain number of visas per year to individuals in other countries...when that happens they have to wait until another round of visas comes up to be able to be issued. I guess its a way to be sure that we have an organized way of letting other pple into the country.

Here is a linke to USCIS about visa availibility... this may not be your case but it happens to ppl within that criteria...but you are fb 4 visa category so look carefully at that...it could be your priority date wsn't current until they asked for the new documents which may be why you had to wait so long...now your into the normal processing of the ap? Not sure but worth looking into to understand better

when i called them in 4th month of our AP they said that except my elder brother all 4 visas can be issued we wanted the visas together but it didnt happen they kept on saying that u take 4 visas except nauman ma elder brother now the have issued only 2.

Yeah it seems your dates are finally current and they can issue the visas except now you actually are on ap and probably because of your name Ahmed is common i think so they are verifying in detail about you now...if you didnt have a common name it may not take so long or if they can verify easily then your ap will be over and your visa issued....

They have 6 months to use their visa's. they can wait and see what happens.

yes this is really very worrying thing for us

I wouldnt chance it too much .. if they want to wait for a little bit I would but do NOT get so close to the deadline that they end up being denied at the POE...
