I will say differently, since you are trying to migrate from Pakistan, the AP process will be very long. So you'll will just have to be patient and wait it out. There is no way around this.

You presently live in Pakistan and you are quite aware of the situation there. So you know that name check and background checks can take a very long time to sort through.

:ot: On a side note, I had an ex-co-worker whom had a H1B visa,he went back to Pakistan to get married, his new wife visa got approved right away, but he has been stuck in name check for 2 years.

Read this...not every male from pakistan gets a long ap (it varies between one month to a year depending on the individual) but there are situations that the ap takes a long time especially when your name is very common... in my experience even in something as simple as banking when we do a background/credit check on ppl who come to open an account... if their name is common we have to keep adding details until we get to the right individual...its very similar process with this...except that its much larger scope so there are way more individuals to filter out as well as police checks and other types of checks..its wayyy more in depth...

but look at this...it will help to understand the check process

Why would your aunt go to the expense of petitioning your family and then sabatoging the process. Doesn't make sense to me. The most likely is that the name or names had a hit during the background check so they have to keep digging further. I know my boss who is from Pakistan used to have this problem whenever he flew. Finally the airline explained that his name would come up with a hit and if he just added his middle name to the booking then it wouldn't happen anymore. As a previous poster said. The checks they do for a visa are much more complex and in depth. Nothing you can do to speed up the process at this point.
