Muslims talk a bunch of ####### about bringing back the Caliphate and living in an Islamic state, but with no discipline and a lack of acceptance of the fact that there are some things that Islam does require, what kind of society would that be with a bunch of spoiled Muslims fighting over how they should stil be able to do as they please?!

It is a hedonistic practice born from not wanting to take the time and follow the rules because the rules don't apply to you. Another thing you said, it is a matter of PROTECTION. Allah's Message is about protection, and with a fake marriage, you have none, so, when you reject His law, you reject His Message.

Repeating this lie doesn't make it true. I said IF she has to file a K1, then they are not married and then this was all a pre-fornication party. Call it an engagement party, if that is your preference, but when Muslims start claiming that MUSLIM countries have no right to their own laws, then we have a truly sick and sorry state of affairs.

I'm not moved by name calling. I used the word "if" alot because I don't know how she's filing either. But IF she still has to file a K1 because they are not married, then it would be incorrect for nothing to be said and the impression left that this is a halal event. It would not be.

Sorry, I know that everyone HATES to be told when Islam disagrees with your desires, but in cases of claiming tobe married when you are not, it does. Algeria is a Muslim country that proclims Islam as the state religion. If they require you to be registered to be married, why do the MUSLIMS here think they have the right to ignore that? I have hears the excuse that Muslims don't have to follow "kufr" rules, but how is this a "kufr" rule when other Muslims are telling you that's how to do it right?

The same know-it-all who would point to scholars to "prove" her own points is loathe to accept that the lawful ulema of Algeria have a reason for requiring registration. She wants to pretend it in "God's eyes" you can selectively follow the law when you wish to and when you don't you don't have to. She committed her sin, now she wants others to follow her path. I have the same right to point to a better direction.

The laws of mu'amalat are supposed to be formed in a manner that provides for the welfare of the people, to maintain justice, enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil. All Muslims are instructed to pursue this end, so it is encumbant upon us to show leadership in example when an issue arises that may leave an incorrect impression.

I speak up when the need is there. First, I asked the question, then I was careful not to assume, as I have been wrongfully accused of doing.

If someone is your friend, as many of you claim you are to Henia. then you wan tthe best for her, not the desires of your own heart. I know that there are those among you who want to be Muslim without embracing any rules, only your own opinions, but that will not stop me from fulfilling my duty as a Muslim to do better than what I wish to be.

Call me any name you want, feel any way you wish to about me. I am willing to stand alone knee deep in the dynya of this place if only one person learns that what passes for Islam here is a joke.

I will congratulate marriages when they happen, not when they don't.

I am not Muslim, but I know that if I was the lady in question here, I would be highly offended. Give her ( Henia) some respect and dignity, for goodness sake! Her happy thread has been stomped on in the most undignified ( or I should say classless) way!! Just congratulate her and mind your own business on wether it was an " engagement" or "whatever" party!
