But, there are people here who malign you on the boards and talk about you like you're sh!t on their shoe behind your backs, yet you seem to be bending over for them to hassle me tonight. Am I wrong that you don't know up from down? Please let me know. for I don't want to linger with that impression if it's incorrect. Hey, no offense intended, just want to get it straight.

Ten pages of this and still going. I'm not really interested in reading any of it so if I'm interupting the current train of thought forgive me. I came back to say something because that's just that odd thing about me... irritating or not.

Its a sad thing when people choose to worship a religion instead of that which is... that which is the creation... Allah, God, Wakantanka, whatever label you wish to give it. Worshipping a religion is in essence creating false idol which was discouraged by the prophets (insert applicable prophet here...). I don't remember Mohammed saying to WORSHIP Islam. Respect it, yes. Embody it, yes. Worship it, nope. Idolize it, nope. I think we have borne witness to many fine examples of the result of false idol/religion worship. It leads to separation and pettiness... i.e. "war" on whatever scale. Look at the idiocy with the comment made by the pope. (Note: I did not say the pope is an idiot... I am referring to the fervor surrounding his comments... i.e. THAT idiocy.) Now the world is back to playing "my religion is better then your religion" on a grand scale.

I don't see how any of this embodies the "message" of religion. Even if you're not religious... there is still a "code" or "moral ethic" one lives by. Just depends on how you wish to shape the metaphor.

Anyway, now that the commercial break is over, carry on...

some of you can blame me for the dissent here within mena, that's all fine and wonderful. however, i'm not the one telling secrets between mena members am i? IMO trying to blame any problems on "outsiders" is just shifting the blame and removes the requirement of each member from owning up to their share of the blame pie. i don't cause shannon to bicker with icey. type2 does not cause icey to bicker with shannon, and so on and so forth. got the picture yet? so you can either continue to blame the "outsiders" or you can take a long hard look at your own interactions with other mena members, which IMO is the root cause of this latest round of drama.

i come to mena not just for the drama, unlike some other vj members. i've got quite a bit of respect for a few of it's members, primarily szsz and jmagayreh, and i've learned a few things about islam along the way. as for why mena is so interesting to "outsiders" perhaps the drama within its members causes that. no one can wreck mena but yourselves.........think about that.

i'm sure a few of you will barf that i've mentioned szsz as being worthy of respect. and you'll continue to blame me and other "outsiders" for the problems within mena. so be it. my advice: before you go off on a rampage at another mena member about some slight, real or imagined, consider how it looks to someone who is not muslim - it certainly does not reflect positively on the image of islam.
