Oh good idea Diana. Does anyone know which buttons to push? I know it's 1 for English, but then there is like a 10 minute monologue until you can proceed. I thought I saw a manual for their number but can't find it right now.....

@ Kathryn: i did the same in Munich. I'm so sorry for the little stray cats. :( I just love cats. So cute. Such good friends!

Okay I just called the 800 number and the automated system said the following:

"We manufactured a document based on an earlier approval of your case. If you have moved please stay on the line and change your address " (shortened version).

Can this be true????

Anna, I think you wait until they offer you to check your case status on the phone and then press the button for option "If you don't have your case status number....." Just pretend you don't have the number and then wait what they tell you. It should come down to the "If you would like to speak to a ....." press that button and after approximately another 20 minutes or so, you should be able to talk to somebody there.

I'm guessing you are already approved a while back (maybe as soon as you sent the RFE back) and they just haven't managed to figure out how to tell you, yet. It is all screwed up but it will work out eventually.

So I called the customer hotline and spoke to a real person just a few minutes ago...

Here is what he said: they sent out my Green Card on September 13.:dance::dance:

I actually cannot believe this until I see the card in the mail!!!!

I did not know that this could happen, since it usually takes a long time and you have to be transferred to CSC to get a GC without any interview. Might it be that the representative on the phone was incorrect?

As soon as I'll see mail from Lee's Summit in my mailbox I'll post at once what they sent to me....

Thanks guys and good luck,

Anna.

Anna,

wow! is that for real???!!!

Our NOA for our AOS was the same as yours, see our timeline.......... so does that mean that your case was approved in around 40 days???? no transfer to CSC etc...???

that would have to be one of the speediest approvals I've heard of if correct?!

although I'm sure that after all your problems so far, you're bound to still be a bit skeptical!

Thanks guys... If it's the GC, I'll be so happy. :) I will post a new thread as soon as we'll get mail from them...

@ Sharky: Yeah it seems that we have a similar timeline. As you said, I am still skeptical - we all know the mis-information hotline!!! All we can do now is waiting... Though I always thought what the heck are they doing with my i-485 touching it so often.... Maybe they were working on it? Let's see!

@ Diana: Defenitely jobs!!! The first thing I'll do is to send out resumes and work as a waitress until I'll get a real job. The first week of December I'll be in CA for my sister-in-law's baby shower and then my mother in law and hubbie and I will fly to Germany for two weeks for Christmas... So I can't start to work right away, I guess no employer would want me to be missing for three weeks!!! ;)

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Anna
