It is so weird and it seems nobody here ever got that CRIS email before....

Isn't the registration of the case the NOA1???? What the heck could they mean????

And a RFE email is when they say they sent a letter requesting more info and evidence... Had that and answered it. Man, we are so hyper now to find out what it means!!!!!!

Sounds like you got the same dill working on your case that is working on my daughters. They said they got the rfe returned to them as undelivered on the same day that we know the evidence they requested, which they already had, got delivered to them. Oh we got the rfe from them, they just think we didn't. :blink: GAWD

Most of the e-mail I have received have been from “CRIS”, for K-1 (NOA1, NOA2, Approval), for AOS (NOA1, Transferred to CSC). But I have never seen or heard of any e-mail like the one that you got. Hopefully they will give you an answer at the infopass.

AnnaC. Maybe they even sent the letter to the office in Charlotte, where you had your last infopass. Remember, the guy who sent the fax. Maybe they faxed him something back....that is too weird.

I got exactly the same email - it was the first one I received of a series, the next being the approval notice, followed very quickly by my Welcome to America letter and my green card.

Coming from California, I would take this to mean your AOS application has been approved and you will be receiving your Welcome to America letter soon. Congratulations!

Hey guys,

Thanks for your answers... I just returned from a trip to the post office to hand them a letter for our delivery agent (regarding the address problem)...

I wonder if it is the old RFE, though they emailed me that our evidence arrived in Missouri and that they resumed processing last week... So I made sure this letter will arrive, no matter what!!! :) And if I have to wait at the mailbox all day!!!! ;)

We were not transferred to CSC. Everything is still in Missouri...

Yeah Evi, the guy in Charlotte called them a lot during Infopass and sent them a fax with our real address. He seemed to be so nice and was clearly convinced that we are a real couple (we are!!!!). I don't know though what the email means...

@ Kathryn: What happened next - I mean if you received a couple of those emails, what arrived via mail?

Hi Anna,

I received that email May 26. On May 27, I received an email - actually 3 - that said my AOS was approved and my green card ordered. Approximately a week later I received my 'Welcome to America" letter, followed the day after by my Green Card. The approval date on my AOS turned out to be 2 days before I received the first email - that weird one:-). So, it may well be that your AOS has been approved. I agree, the wording is really strange! I am betting you will receive the "Welcome to America" letter very soon.

Thanks Kathryn! I so hope that you're right, though wouldn't it be weird since I was never transferred to CSC? Well, anyway, if it is the Green Card I won't question their methods! ;)

btw we adopted one of the Petsmart cats. She is a little darling! :)

Oh, double congratulations! I am so glad you adopted one of the Petsmart kitties! I still look at the ones here whenever I visit and wish we had room for more. As it is, I am sneaking food out and putting it on the top of the hill for a thin stray I have noticed hanging around here. My husband disapproves, but she is so skinny and obviously doesn't have a home. My 5 don't seem to mind her presence but she is very skittish and runs whenever I open the door, which is why I am putting the food out near where she runs away. I am a sucker for cats.

Why don't you try calling the USCIS number. I had gotten a strange email a couple of weeks ago and I called, didn't wait at all, spoke to a helpful man and found out the case had been transferred to CSC. They may be able to give you some answers at least until the infopass appointment.!!! :D
