hello everyone! I came to US with a B1/b2 visa in august last year and in june 10 this year I got married with my boyfriend a US citizen.I started to complete the forms and I don't know if I should write that I am working as a nanny because I know that with this type of visa you can't work and I am out of status since february 19 this year. another problem is that I live in Atlanta but I have an Illinois driver's licence, the Ga DL expired in febr.19 (I got the DL only for 6 months) and I had to go to chicago to get a DL.should I send a copy of this DL? or I can only send a copy of my passport?

thank you.

You don't need a DL for AOS and you must disclose your illegal work.

If you're married to a USC all will be forgiven. You don't need a drivers license. In the interview they may ask to see your I-94, your Social Security Card and your Employment Authorization Documentation.

Harpa:

The OP should declare her working "under the table"? Should she provide a CONTINUATION sheet for her I-485 then to explain that? She knew she should not have worked.

OP, that could be one of the topics that will be raised during your interview.

I am adjusting from a B2 status too. I gave birth here through WIC's help in Cali in 2001. But I went back home and raised my son in my country. The WIC Coordinator that time told me their main concern was the child in my womb who is going to be a citizen of the US, my status as a tourist here was not their concern (I told them the truth). So in one of the I-485 yes/no, I said "yes" I did receive aid from the Fed govt and provided a continuation sheet. I have not discovered VJ when I filed. When I got on here, I searched for WIC info and the threads I saw said WIC is not a problem so I should just have said NO to that I-485 wuestion. I am prepared to answer the IO about this on Monday if this will crop up...wish me luck!

Anyway, DL is not asked for during the interview. :)

Yes, she must disclose the work, and you should have disclosed the WIC. To lie on one of the forms might get you a deportation, but to tell the truth, in both of your cases, shouldn't harm you. Good luck.
