I am farely new to this, but i have been spending all my time doing research on all the documents needed for everything. We are sending out our I-129F hopefully next week and starting the long wait. I was wondering about the police report. I was born and lived most of my life in a small town in northern Ontario. I am now in Ottawa while the process will be going threw. (bigger city and more places to get the forms and closer for my medical and interview) (small town would give me a 10-12 hour drive when i get to that point) So about the police report, will i have to return to my home town to get it? Or can i do it here in Ottawa, Ontario?? And when (from the time we send the I-129F) should i start seeking the police report ???

Thank you to anyone who will respond :)

You should be able to get it in Ottawa. I got mine at the RCMP headquarters in Vancouver. It took about 20 minutes and it's valid for 6 months. In hindsight I should have waited to get it as we don't have our petition approved yet, but I guess I can go get another one if it expires before my interview. Hope this helps! :)

Thank you! I just heard that it can take weeks and months to get. so i dont want to wait too late. But since i'm mailing out the I-129F next week. Im sure i have plenty of time before the 3rd or 4th package(&interview)
