LIEU OF AN UNOBTAINED BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Okay I am so freaking out right now, I might even have to cancel or reschedule my interview and medical exam next month! I have a problem with my birth certificate. It was originally a long form but when a copy was given to my parents in 1993, the representative used a short paper instead of the long paper to photocopy. I thought this document will be acceptable with the Vancouver Consulate because my parents information and my information was correct but it was just cut off at the bottom. I tried to get my original birth certificate in the Philippines but my record was not found and it will take more than 2 months to reprocess it. I don't much time as you can tell. I have EXACTLY 1 month to sort this out! So I sent an email to the Vancouver Consulate attached my birth certificate, my parents "Record of Landing" with my name included and my birth date and the Vancouver Consulate replied that it was NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! ARRRHHHGGGG!

Did anybody came up with the same problem as me? I read on the Packet 3 checklist I can get a Notarized Affidavits from my parents and a sworn affidavits why I wasn't able to obtain my birth certificate?

How do you do that?

How long did it take to get the Notarized Affidavits?

PLEASE PLEASE I'M IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELP

I see that you have an obtainable birth certificate, you just don't want to wait to get it. I am not sure if this is going to fly with Vancouver since your birth certificate can be obtained.

Have you tried actually contacting the consulate itself to see what they can do to help?

Now, you say you have EXACTLY one month...you in fact have more than that because you are able to reschedule your visa interview, you just don't want to.

I am sorry this is so stressful but you're probably going to have to email or call the consulate to see what they need and to see if affidavits are acceptable

Good luck

You can get, it just is going to take some work and some time. That is different than an unobtainable document.
