Citizenship is all about being certified, you do get a certificate. Have a number of government agency certifications, but always was tested and questioned by a board, never an individual person.

Found this very strange with the USCIS only having one person making that on-the-spot decision, but apparently not the final decision, that has to be made by my best guess, the supervisor, or even the office manager. That brings about the question, who is really being tested, the applicant or the performance of the interviewing officer, as to even if the interview was conducted properly.

The letter we received from the USCIS stated proof of paid fines is excluded, the very reason given to my stepdaughter. So can only guess he reported this as the reason and it was rejected. Can't tell by who, the letter was never signed. But was not a form letter, dates and charges she was suppose to respond to were very specific. What really threw me for a loop, if these charges are incorrect, contact the court of law that imposed these charges. What court of law? No court was stated, not even the city, country, state, or even the country. That was way too much to deal with, handed that to my senators office.

Believe your husbands' IO will have to state the reason why he was rejected and more evidence is required. Just have to see what happens, could be nothing and he will receive his oath letter. But do know the frustration you are going through, the only topic of conversation in my home until three weeks went by and it was all over.

It was not stated in the letter from USCIS that I have to be there, and we followed the rules, anything else whatever was asked from immigration was brought there and she didnt even look at those papers at all!

Why didnot you sit and wait outside the interview room?

What a relief for you and your family! We did not have any problems so far, everything was going very smooth and I hope is not going to be a big deal for us as well, I believe USCIS are updating every Tuesday the page where you can check your case status and I am very anxious to see if theres any update, we`ll see. Thank you!
