Red Flag to CBP at POE?

My fiancee is wanting to travel to Hong Kong to visit relatives before coming to the states.

In the eyes of the CBP at her POE, would this look odd to them? Having traveled to another country before entering the US on a K1?

Thanks!

They won't care one way or the other, especially for travel to Hong Kong. (Iran, North Korea, etc. could be a different story...)

Visiting Hong Kong before entering USA should be okay. My Fiance came to Singapore for a month (I was working there for a while) before entering USA and we had no problem. If they ask just explain why you were visiting.

It's outside the US so I don't think it will a problem. If she'll be visiting relatives in a different US state before going to you that might be the red flag.

Travel to visit relatives prior to coming to us is not a problem in my opinion. Remember once she get here it is here to stay until you get a AP or green card.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

If you can answer why it would be red flag to CBP officer, it will answer you own question.

Not even. I visited my brother before my fiance and had no problems. :)
