Can I use form I864"EZ" if W2 is only $500? Self Employed income meets 125% (line b says using your own income from form W2)

I don't want to wait only to be told to use the other form. Your input is appreciated.

Also, why do all these forms expire 9/30 or 10/16? I'm waiting on my certifed 1040 from the IRS.

This process is very frustrating and we've only just begun.

USCIS have advised you to use I-864, so why don't you use that?

The I-864EZ is nice and all, but the reason its "EZ" is that it only covers very basic (although most common) cases. If you deviate from what's allowed on I-864EZ, you file I-864, same as the way you probably couldn't filed 1040EZ for your taxes.

helpneeded,

It seems pretty clear, from both the instructions and the first few questions of the form itself, that one cannot use I-864EZ unless the income they are using as the basis for the support can be documented with a form W-2.
