There are people still waiting since last Oct. You are not even past the 5 month processing time yet. I know it sucks, but all you can do right now is be patient. They are slow, but they will get around to you.

Sean - I am the day after you - and I feel the same way.

I realize that I am not to my 5 month mark yet - it's just really annoying that there is no rhyme or reason to the process!!!! There are filers from Feb that haven't heard either - why is most of March hearing, yet they're still waiting? If there were logic it might make the waiting patiently part easier! :)

I know people from october waited almost 6 months for NAO'2 but now they are processing faster and if they were EXTREMELY slow back in the day doesn't mean that we should take their blame as well.

P.S- I think even i will find lot easier to tell people to wait patiently once i have received y NOA'2

If they have people getting approved after me i don't have to be at 5 months mark yet. I paid the same fees as them and filed earlier. EVEN an RFE i still expect them to look at my file first....

No, you don't have to be at the 5 month mark to be frustrated. But in order to call USCIS and ask for a service request, or to ask a congressman to help, you do. Because that is the time period they go by. I know, I'm in the same boat, remember, I'm just a day behind you and so there are many people who are processed after me now. Hopefully it will happen soon enough for both of us :) Good luck!

The person filed in Oct and is STILL waiting for their NOA2 right now. They have been waiting 9 1/2 months. You are saying you filed before other people that got their NOA2 already and yours should have been done first. I pointed out they have been waiting over 5 months longer than you so far. There are still others that filed before you that are still waiting for their NOA2 as well. Your 'logic' defies me. Besides, with all the March filers getting approvals lately, how do you know yours won't come tomorrow, or sometime this week? If you think you shouldn't have to wait anymore, then you go ahead, call them up and put in a service request. Good luck with that.

Yes, I already went through this part of the process. It doesn't change anything I said.

If there were logic it might make the waiting patiently part easier! :)

I completely agree with this!

Sean...

I know all too well how frustrating it is to search the timelines, compare who is getting NOA2 and who is not. I was there with you up until July 1st... I even called USCIC to see if I could get a Level 2 rep....

What I have learned is that the process can not be compared to others. Frustrating, I know, but this is the government we're working with.... have you seen how things are in D.C. right now?!?! LOL..

Hang in there.. it WILL come. And then get ready to wait again for the documents to go from Vermont (or California) to the NVC. I'm still waiting for the recording to tell me its there (and frustrated because others have gotten theirs)....

In the mean time, start planning your future with your wonderful partner!

Best wishes,

Christy and Rod

It makes me scared to hear about people waiting more than 9 months. I've been waiting only 2 months and I am impatient >_<

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T
