Hello all... trying to see if anyone has suggestions on what to do about needing to reschedule the K-1 visa interview. It is absolutely impossible to attend the interview. Thus, I've emailed the embassy but have not received a reply. I dont want to have the application cancelled for not attending the interview. But I also assume if I go to the embassy without the documents and fee I'll be turned away as well. I'm not sure what to do. Help.

If you go there without the correct information, or fee, they will give you another interview date. Do you live in Kingston?

I am sorry you have to reschedule :(

I wish it was avoidable in some way, to wait so long and then have to reschedule is frustrating, I had to do the same for our K1 :(

To reschedule your interview send an email to kingstonivinfo@state.gov stating:

Subject Line: RESCHEDULE, Applicant case number (starts with KNG), Applicant Last Name, Applicant First Name.

When you sent the e-mail, did you put RESCHEDULE in the subject line of the e-mail?

I would write to them again and put KNG# SECOND REQUEST ~ RESCHEDULE INTERVIEW in the subject line, and I would copy both e-mail addresses.

consularkingst@state.gov; kingstonivinfo@state.gov

Also, since it is a K1 petition, I would request that they extend the expire date of your NOA2.

Good Luck :star:

Unfortunately, we are not in Kingston and the three hour drive is taxing. If we do not receive a reply from them, however, we will go with appt letter and identification and explain the situation. Hope they don't turn us away. Thanks for the quick reply.

Thanks so much. I have put reschedule in the subject line and still have not heard anything. It's unfortunate because with the interview date initially they replied by the next day. Tomorrow will be a week and they have not replied. Also, yes... I have been sending to both addy's (consular respinded to me first last time). I pray something will pop up in the email soon.

I never imagined we would have had to go down this road. SMH.
