So i live in mexico with my fiance....and i cross the border everyday obviously...as soon as i cross, i receive a text from USCIS saying that they had updated my status online. I of course freaked out because i had already responded to their RFE. I picked up my fiance at work and told him. unforutnately, my phone is unable to access the USCIS website. so we drive to my grandmas house which is like 20 minutes away. those were the longest 20 minutes of my life. i get there and my hearts pounding really fast as i type the receipt number on the website..and sure enough! i see the below message:

On July 18, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

I was so happy! We were so happy!! Now what? LOL! All this waiting has paid off! I cant wait until our interview date. If I am correct, we play another waiting game until we receive an interview date right?

Thanks for all your help!!

Congratulations! We just received our NOA2 too! We received ours on July 11 so we are in the same boat as you...wondering what to do next. The NOA2 does not give any instructions on what to do next. I've asked several questions on here and have gotten some helpful answers. I've also gotten some answers that contradict each other but everybody is just coming from their own experience. So I'm not exactly sure what happnes next but appreciate everybody on here. Wish there was somewhere to go though for step-by-step instructions.

And again, CONGRATULATIONS! It is exciting to complete each step.

Thanks for all your help!!

I just did a search for the NVC and found a lot of useful information on their website...even a step-by-step guide that I was looking for! Here is the link. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_1326.html Start with step 2.

Hope this helps!
