*sob!*

It's true.....

I was originally a "Sheri"!

:P

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I think IQ scores are absolutley BS. I know people who are members of MENSA who have absolutley no common sense whatsoever, or have personalities so deficient that no one in their right mind would want to be around them.

There are people who are absolutley brilliant at what they do, and do it well who may not score so well on an IQ test. I've worked with and known personally several. IQ means nothing in the real world, all it is is a measurement of someone's ability to take a test well.

The "glass ceiling" is truly there and it's there due to discriminatory hiring practices. I have been paid less than some male colleagues even though I had a job which should have been on a higher pay scale. I have gone years without a job offer while men I helped TRAIN who were laid off at the same time I was were hired right away... even when we applied for the same position... They'd look at my name on my resume, and since I'm very obviously a female, not even bother to contact me. It's the danger when working in a male-dominated feild, but I'm really damn good at what I do, and I'm not going to change just becuase a few guys (or women) in an HR department don't think I can hack it.

Again, IQ means nothing in the real world, it's just a measurement of how well you take tests.

(and before the "you're just jealous becuase you don't have a high IQ" starts - I could join MENSA if I wanted to, but I'd rather not be associated with a bunch of pompous, egotistical #######.)

I actually agree that in general men are more intelligent than women. Not all men of course. I'm sure we all know a completely stupid man or two (or three or four or five...). I don't know if I agree about creativity but as far as complex concepts, men do seem to grasp them more easily than women.

But yeah, I think we can all agree that men have very little common sense. Whenever my husband asks me how to boil rice, I do this , but give him a complicated math equation and he can solve it in no time. My husband is a frickin genius.

Most women I know who are paid less than men are paid less because they don't know

how to negotiate, not because they are women. They were happy to get the job and

didn't even think to negotiate a better salary.

I agree 100% Men are much smarter than women. I honestly don't know how to do anything without a man around. Its sad really. I can't fix my car, in fact I don't even know where to stick they hose thing when I need to fill it with gas. I don't know how to mow the lawn because I can't find the key to start it. When the toilet overflows I have no idea how to use the screwdriver to fix it. I truly am a mess.

So I guess I will have to live with the fact that I must waste all of my time painting my nails and doing my hair while my husband performs these extremely complicated tasks.

Damn....I wish I had the intelligence of a man so I could do these things, I really am jealous.

You use a screwdriver to fix an overflowing toilet? There's your problem right there. ;)

My father is mechanically challenged and my mother came from a family with brothers who could take apart engines and put them back together. My dad also couldn't cook, but he really knew how to grow plants and he planted and tilled a very large garden of vegetables. To this day he barely knows how to even use the remote for the TV, but neighbors stop and marvel over his garden of flowers.

Is it really a problem? Or could I have been being Facetious?
