I suspect the 'glass ceiling' phenomenon is actually due in large measure to biological factors ie a man's life is not disrupted by pregnancy, childbirth or childcare in the same way as a woman's.

As for the claim that men's IQs are almost four points higher than women's, as any woman will tell you, it's not what you have, it's how you use it which counts. Men still haven't grasped this basic principle.

I think it's pretty accurate. I was IQ tested as a child, and I scored 4 points lower on this test than on my official testing. I must be getting dumber as I get older!

The power structure has almost always been filled with men in their late 50's and early 60's. We cannot have a legitimate study on this for probably 20 years, to see if women who have given up child rearing rise in the job market at the same speed, then looking for contingencies. Careers are a very new phenomena, especially for women. Most of the work leading into this century is not the type of work anyone would want to do. “I am being discriminated against because I am not allowed to work 18 hours a day in unsafe conditions in a coal mine with substandard wages”. I am conducting a study that indicates 98% of intellectuals are morons.

Just the fact that men are going through great lengths of testing reveals that they are not smarter. But they do work harder at trying to prove their point. I wish they would use their "superior" intelligence to make the world a safer place. I think that the world will have a better chance when women are in charge because we don't waste our time waving our surveys or SAT scores.
