The study was done on the SATs if I've heard correctly. This would assume that SAT scores are indicative of IQ.

Yep. No researcher worth his weight would measure intelligence based on aptitude test scores. For one, we know that there are many forms of intelligence. For example, I watched a program about a young man who can't even button his own shirt, but is a musical genius on the piano. Intelligence in fact is too broad a field to simply say that one group of people are more intelligent than others. We went through this controversy with the bell curve.

IQ tests measure one type of intelligence that happens to be a type nurtured in male children and not emphasized in female children.

SAT tests are a load of shite and have been proved again and again to have a weak relationship to scores on other measures of intelligence.

Taking into account multiple intelligences is important because everyone has strengths and weaknesses. I'm spatially retarded. I cannot make the damn 3D box out of the flattened box. It takes me a few attempts to put the file back in the filing cabinet facing the right way.

This is a type of intelligence emphasized on many IQ-type tests, and I think being bad at it is something I share with more women than men.

I have no sense of direction...once I'm inside a building I get completely disoriented. And the worst part is, I'm a guy who does ask for directions but I still get lost.

I think it is unfair to say that men are smarter then women or women are smarter then men...

Some people are smarter the other people, doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman

I think it's pretty accurate. I was IQ tested as a child, and I scored 4 points lower on this test than on my official testing. I must be getting dumber as I get older!

Smarter? Hmmm. Anyone seen this before?

1. Men are like ...Laxatives ...... They irritate the ####### out of you.

2. Men are like. Bananas ....... The older they get, the less firm they are.

3. Men are like ......Weather . Nothing can be done to change them.

4. Men are like ....Blenders You need One, but you're not quite sure why.

5. Men are like .....Chocolate Bars .... Sweet, smooth, & they usually head right for your hips.

And for the record, I do not subscribe to this way of thinking, but I do appreciate a few good comparisons here and there... I'm sure someone will find a similar list for women...

I just saw this and I am not sure of the source of this study but if anyone hears of any other studies which simply reiterate the obvious. Let me know, Id like the grant money for doing them.
