Keep our house or sell?

We are planning to move to USA in 12 months. 3.5 years ago we bought our house and have completely renovated it. We don't want to sell because of the sentimental value and we want to stay in the property market here. But even with tenants we would still be up for half the mortgage payments. We are moving so my husband can pursue a PhD (no salary). Has anyone been in a similar situation? What should we do?

We are very excited about selling our first house. As we've never sold a house before, we don't really know what to imagine. We have completely repaired our house, gutted the full inside. It's basically brand new inside. Very modern but it's still small. Do you have tips that will make our house sell quicker and for more?

If you go to one of those places, you are not going to get 'top dollar' that's for sure.
