I read somewhere that it is the NVC that schedules your interview and not the embassy is this true ?, and if it is does this mean you can find out your interview date by calling the NVC before your case is recieved at the embassy ?

Also what do you need to schedule your medical?, can you do this from info you can get from the NVC or do you have to await until it has arrived at the Embassy ?

Thanks in advance.. :D

Hi liquin:

At the time we filed our petition in 2004, NVC scheduled the interviews for Albania, Canada, Turkey, UAE and the continent of Africa. (I'm not sure if it is still the same). Then NVC would forward a package of instructions to the US citizen in regards to medical and what documents to bring to the interview.

If you weren't from the above countries, then the embassy that you were going thru would schedule your interview and send you the package containing the medical info, et .

Hope this helps & good luck

Your interview will be scheduled by the London Embassy!!

you can't find out your interview date from NVC, but you can find out if you have "case complete", you can either keep emailing the embassy or call DOS to find out if you have an interview scheduled, but first you have to wait untill your case is at the Embassy!!, you can call & arrange a medical useing your LND#

Since you will be dealing with UK Embassy, your interview will be scheduled by the NVC.

If the applicant (foreign spouse) is from Albania, Canada, Lebanon, Philippines, Turkey, United Arab Emirates or on the continent of Africa then the NVC will scedule the interview.

If the applicant is not from one of the above countries then the consulate will schedule the interview.

As Euro stated, the UK consulate will schedule your interview.

lquin,

You can do your medical after you receive the instructions from the Embassy.
