I think before you make comments like this, you need to educate yourself on the subject. Just because YOU or people "in your neck of the woods" find it weird, doesn't make it a fact.

Please read about official recommendations on breastfeeding, things have changed a lot over the years.

I find your remarks highly offensive.

Sorry if I offended you. But again, if someones from a third world country and that's the thing over there then it is what it is. But some American gal having a two year old kid sucking on their tits? I find it creepy weird and I believe there's some kind of psychological issues going on there...imo.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I think you need to back up your statements a little bit. You only write about moms in 3rd world countries OR the US, what about european mothers?

I mean, I honestly don't care about what you personally find weird or creepy, but before you make any further comments about something you have no clue about, please read up on it.

Breastfeeding is becoming more and more "a thing" all over the world again, just like it still was not even a century ago and thankfully in the United States as well. Your arguments are years behind the latest studies and research.

I have family in both Friesland (Netherlands) and my step moms family in Frankfurt and I never so no weird stuff like that going on over there. Other than the guys carrying little purses around...everyone seemed pretty much normal.

You know, the way you say it makes it sound so bad. To be fair....it's the healthiest thing you can give you child, and breastfeeding is just an incredible bonding experience. I felt a high/feeling/whatever that was just beyond anything I have ever felt before in my life. These mothers - while you may not agree with it - are not doing it for some random smutty/crazy reason like your posts imply. And you can disagree in concept, but not be disgusting about it.

Btw, how many kids do you have? Oh that's right, none.

6 mos - 9 mos...that's plenty of time to bond. Anything past that and it's starting to get into the creepy zone...imo.

Thanks for the "imo". You can have whatever sad opinion about it, just please don't make statements anymore about what is and isn't creepy or freaky if frankly you don't know nothing about it.

Maybe take a look at the articles/links I posted earlier.

Thanks for the advice but I believe I'm entitled to my own opinion. If I think somethings creepy then I'm going to say I think it's creepy. If some gal here in town had her two year old kid sucking on her tits it would be the talk of the town. Iv'e only lived in two states... Washington and Alaska, so I can't really say much about the other 48 states. But in those two states...any chick with a two year old kid sucking on her nips wouldn't be considered the norm by any means.

I think I repeatedly said that you are absolutley entitled to your opinion. I just asked you to not make any statements about what IS CONSIDERED creepy. I highly doubt that you know about breastfeeding habits even in the two states you have named you lived in. I maybe believe you if you talk about your family or even the town you are from but otherwise, I think your arguments have zero basis other than it's "your opinion".

Your very first reply on this topic clearly shows that you have no clue about feeding a baby, so any further discussion with you about this is probably totally pointless anyway.

Alaska and the pacific northwest have some of the highest breastfeeding rates in the country. Most people don't nurse their toddlers outside of their home usually, so you never know who is still nursing. Not to mention, as you can imagine, some people can be quite judgmental about it, as though it affects them in some way!

And I agree with Lisa. It is possible to express an opinion without being so crass. However, I think the repeated colorful language is for effect and to offend and provoke a response.

And how many moms in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, etc... breast feed their kid until age 2? I mean let's get real here.

Chances are good there's one doing it right now, maybe even in your town. Grab your pitchfork!

Don't get me wrong now. As strange as I might think some chick is for having her two year old walking and talking child still sucking on her tits for the fact the mom has some serious issues (imo), I wouldn't find it a turn off. If anything...the complete opposite.

To turn it into something sexual is shocking, even for you. Then again, you did knowingly bang your own cousin, so nothing should surprise me.

Something had to be done....there was too much violence in this thread.
