There's a few of them I wouldn't mind boinking. Tight little arses along with a nice rack.

It's good to know you are aware of your condition. Hopefully, they are all of legal age and not any of your nieces.

I imagine Alaska is a lonely place.

Not so lonely as to where a two year old child is sucking his moms nipple. I mean some weird sh*t goes on up here, but nothing on that scale of weird.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I don't know how "weird" something can be considered to be when about 10% of the population practices it. Breastfeeding rates are highly correlated with income and education in this country. It really is a shame that people who do something that in most of the world (including non-developing countries) is considered normal are labeled "freaks" in this country. Says a lot, I think.

My rule of thumb is, if you can chew steak, you shouldn't be on your mama's nipple...

There's one of those arbitrary rules I was referring to.

Ya and if they did another survey they would probably find out that 10% of this country is full of crack heads. Maybe breast feeding a two year old kid is the thing in underdeveloped countries, but not here, not in Canada and not in Western Europe. It's anything but normal here in the US.

I've actually done quite a bit of research on this. Frankly, you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

Research it all you want. Weird is weird, and some two your old child here in the US that's still sucking on their moms ####### is about as weird as it gets. It's nothing short of some kind of freak show thing imo.

Well, I'm glad that your uninformed opinions on what does and does not make a freak are of no consequence to me. I'll stick with the research, thanks.

I admit I'm not a psychologist either, but I'm sure they have some term for a mom that has her two year old child still coming to suck on her #######. I have a few idea's...

I apologize to you for choosing those exact words. After re-reading that post of mine I can see where it looks a bit degrading.

Say what you want, but breast feeding a kid until age two in the US is considered anything but normal. Weird is weird, and that's just flat out weird.

I think before you make comments like this, you need to educate yourself on the subject. Just because YOU or people "in your neck of the woods" find it weird, doesn't make it a fact.

Please read about official recommendations on breastfeeding, things have changed a lot over the years.

I find your remarks highly offensive.

I wish I could have breastfed Nick for longer than I did...but once he got teeth, yeah I quickly found out that was a no go for me.

Breastfeeding vs drinking breast milk to me are two different things.

(btw, that quote was just some one liner from S&TC (not verbatim, but close enough) that made me LOL)

Official recommendations from WHO and AAP:

Breastfeeding is the normal way of providing young infants with the nutrients they need for healthy growth and development. Virtually all mothers can breastfeed, provided they have accurate information, and the support of their family, the health care system and society at large.

Colostrum, the yellowish, sticky breast milk produced at the end of pregnancy, is recommended by WHO as the perfect food for the newborn, and feeding should be initiated within the first hour after birth.

Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended up to 6 months of age, with continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods up to two years of age or beyond.

http://www.who.int/topics/breastfeeding/en/

There aren't too many surprises in the American Academy of Pediatrics latest policy statement on Breastfeeding and the Use of Human Milk, which states that 'human milk is uniquely superior for infant feeding.' The AAP still recommends that 'breastfeeding should be continued for at least the first year of life and beyond for as long as mutually desired by mother and child.'

They did go a step further this time though, in saying that 'there is no upper limit to the duration of breastfeeding and no evidence of psychologic or developmental harm from breastfeeding into the third year of life or longer.' That is good news for mothers who want to breastfeed their toddlers.

Not surprisingly, the new policy statement tries to emphasize that there are 'compelling advantages for infants, mothers, families, and society from breastfeeding, ' including 'health, nutrional, immunologic, developmental, psychologic, social, economic, and enviornmental benefits.'
