NVC Received Case - Waiting for AOS Invoice

Thought I'd start a new thread since the CSC > NVC thread is so large.

NVC received my case from CSC and issued case # and IIN. But after 10 days still waiting for the AOS bill email and Choice of Agent form. Older posts indicate this use to take a couple of days. Now they're telling me 4-6 weeks. Anybody else in this boat with me?

Folks from the CSC to NVC thread welcome to join here when they finally get their case #.

Good Luck To All!

Did you give NVC the e-mail address of the petitioner and beneficiary? If so, it should be coming very soon. When I called and gave mine and my husbands e-mail address, I was told that it takes 10-20 business days to generate the DS-3032 and AOS bill. Surprisingly, it came the next day.

Keep praying for patience and strength. It will come before you know it. Have a good day

I suppose that at the NVC stage everything is pushed by YOU, instead of wait for them to send you anything.

So if you have the NVC case number and IIN number, they you can download and fill up the DS3032 yourself, and email them to OPTIN for electronic processing. You can also generate your own case cover sheet using the bar code instruction found here on Visa Journey. You do not need to wait for anything from NVC.

Nope. you first will have get your case entered in the NVC systems and DS-3032 sent out before you can officially start the NVC process. from then onwards it is the question of how soon you gather you docuemnst and proactively submit those as soon as the fees are paid and the payment status is marked "Paid" to print the cover sheets with bar code needed to be sent along with I-864 and DS-230.

Keep in mind that electronic processing is only available as an option for people whose files are going to Guangzhou or Montreal. There are some instances where EP is required and those instances are linked here.

Thanks Navy. That is my understanding. I sent the email version of of the DS3032 just to see what would happen. Result - nothing. At this point, I have both numbers but can't logon to the payment portal. My best guess is you have to wait for the system to be loaded and NVC generate the 3032 before you can logon to the portal.

Has anybody had success with generating the bar code and submitting it? I willing to try anything at this point! :help:

Update. I just talked to NVC. The operator at first said that I should have received the email by now. She put me on hold to speak with a supervisor. She then came back and said they had my case and it would be 4-6 weeks. That's the official line.

I mentioned that I saw online that a lot of cases appeared stuck at NVC. She said they were not suppose to use the word "stuck", but that they have hd a high volume of incoming cases recently. It sounds like they are buried and just can't keep up.

Progress

I talked to an operator last night who seemed helpful. She talked to a supervisor who instructed her to tell me to wait 4-6 weeks.

This morning I had my AOS fee email. I don't know who, but somebody pulled my up case, did whatever they do to activate it, and the system generated my emails.

I was able to logon to the payment portal and pay the AOS fee. I also sent in the Choice of Agent form (that my wife signed 2 months ago).

The lesson here? Just keep calling and emailing NVC. Eventually you'll get action. But it's very unpredictable.

Timeline:

NVC Received case - 7/8/2011

NVC Generated AOS email - 7/19/2011
