Hi Everybody,

I have a question for anyone who wants to give me their honest opinion. This Friday I am traveling over seas to visit my fiance. (This trip is long over due.) Okay we rcvied an emial from the embassy to send over more proof of on going relationship. We thought we would stop by the embassy if possible (if they let us) and give the on going relation ship evidence in person. But I'm concerned if when I am at customs that they see this papers ask what they are for and decide not to let me in since I would be going there to visit my fiance I am going there to visit him specifically but am going there to vacation also and come back after a week. Do you think it would be okay to bring this with me or just better strictly to just mail it to the embassy. I wanted to wait to send it after I have my pictures from this trip, having a copy of my boarding pass and hotel reciept? Confused on what I should do.:unsure:

Sunny what you need to do is take some mo9re pics when you visit fiance and then when you go back to Switzerland you send them to embassy you can't just take them in. You received and RFE so your proof has to be sent in the mail.

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

Swiss Customs aren't going to really care about the paperwork. Just don't share it with them. You're on vacation. You can do what you want while you're on vacation including seeing your boyfriend/fiancee.

Care,

Bill

I have one ohter question I really feel I should wait till either at the end of the trip or wait until I get home where I will have all the photo's, hotel recepits, and boarding pass to send in all my on going proof of relationship evidence. Our petition expires at the end of the month. I have the calling card phone logs that I can send in but feel it would be stronger if I wait until I have this other stuff above that i mentioned? My fiance is very desperate to get here and be with me here. Which there is nothing in the world them to have him here with me. And feels we should send these phone logs in now? Should I wait or send it now? ) He thinks maybe we can go home together maybe if the embassy receives these right away (phone logs) and we are approved while I am there?:help:

  • 3 weeks later...

I was had no problems at customs taking my relationship eveidence with me into switzerland. We went bright and early to the Barn Embassy monday morning had no problem getting in to the embassy I just told them I was a us citizen and they waved me throught. I brought the addtional evidence they requested and had delivered it to the couselor (didn't need an appointment to see them ether  ) They called us by the end of the day to bring his passport back but they called us 2 minutes before they closed. So we borught it back the folowing day takes about a day to issue the visa and they said we could pick it up any time after 4 the next day so we made an addtional trip down to the embassy a 3trd time(HAPPILY!!!:yes: ) Thought each time it was 2 1/2 hr drive. He will be here in one week I can't wait!!!!!!!! (L) (L) (L)(F) (F)    :thumbs:
