All you who are waiting for your I-130 Approval..Pl share the movement of your applications here.

Is any one any one who filled in march 2011 and their application got approved?

Currently it seems like USCIS is focusing on IR1/CR1 applications (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/320059-fustration-no-sign-of-my-case-yet-with-the-nvc/page__st__15). The bottle neck seems to be with NVC as well.

USCIS always has focus on IR1/CR1 since ages. Are the spouses and little children of LPRs not considered as humans.

Hope they understand the pain of seperation that spouses and children of LPRs are suffering.

Of course the US Immigration Process is going to focus on immediate relatives of US Citizens. Do you really think that's unreasonable?

As a US Legal Resident you have a path to Citizenship available to you, feel free to use it and get in the express lane to bring your family here.

There are many privileges afforded to US Citizens but there are also responsibilities attached.

It is an accepted fact the IR1/CR1 gets the priority. But I130 is a common application and I believe he/she was merely expressing concern of USCIS delay in processing the application that even LPR have paid equal amount for and USCIS is supposed to processes them uniformly across all classes.Of course IR1/CR1 doesnt have priority dates or retrogression that is so common for F2 visas.

Doesn't it make sense to process the I-130 petitions for cases which don't have to wait for Visa numbers to be available?

If a family preference I-130 petition is approved in 3 months or 6 months is doesn't really affect the total wait time for the case, right. In light of that I would say it makes sense that CR/IR I-130 petitions are adjudicated first.

Agreed. Except for the fact that even despite USCIS reporting low demand for F2A and movement of PDs like last year to Aug 2010, there are still a lot of people with 2008/2009 PD waiting for I130 approvals, NVC processing leading to wastage of visas year over year. No one can deny that US citizens get priority, but USCIS could atleast process applications on first come basis or at least introduce separate forms for LPR as opposed to USC. Its more the lack of transparency in the process thats aggravating to many.

We also have a path for citizenship..But the who point is the waiting time form LPR to citizenship which is 5 yrs..

Can you think of staying away from your wife and children for 5 years? It is the same human emotions that run amoung all of us.We all have the same love for our families. Then why are the laws showing this discrimination? This is definitely unfair.

Are you saying that LPRs should be equal in every way to US Citizens? Seriously?

USCIS (and the whole of the US Government) doesn't care about the emotional stuff (regardless of US Citizen or LPR). US Citizens get to move to front of the line because we have higher expectations of us. It really is that simple.

LPRs were granted the privilege of coming to live in the US, you get a lot of benefits from your residency but honestly (and not trying to insult anyone here) it's like the junior or limited membership option whereas US Citizens are the Full Membership Group. Like I said you're welcome to join as soon as you qualify.

Now if there are I-130 petitions for family preference categories with current Priority Dates that have not been adjudicated then I would agree that is wrong.

Dude you are taking this matter very seriouse..come down!! Everybody is here is migrated from somewhere whether your great grand father...or my next fourteen generation. What we tried to saying that LPR has limited visa for 88,000 every year which is not given. That is simple that it is against law or discrimination. I think you got my point.

Please stop insulting LPR.

USCIS

CASE APPROVED ON SEPTEMBER 9TH, 2010

NVC

First, how am I insulting LPRs? What have I said that is wrong or insulting?

Second, are you saying the problem is that USCIS is so far behind on petition approval that every year there are 88,000 visas allotted for LPR relatives but not issued? If that's the case then please re-read where I said "Now if there are I-130 petitions for family preference categories with current Priority Dates that have not been adjudicated then I would agree that is wrong."

For what it's worth even many US Citizens get stuck waiting on family preference categories. How does that support LPRs being discriminated against?

I understand that many LPRs feel it's wrong that their minor children & spouses don't get into the same line a US Citizen's minor children & spouses but that is ho the laws were written. If your weren't offer a path to Citizenship then I would agree that there is discrimination but that's not the case.

Bottom line is that Citizenship has it's privileges just like it has it's responsibilities. I've earned the fast lane because my family has been here for generations, why does that upset you? I've been paying US Taxes for almost 30 years, my family paid in blood for this country throughout it's history. We earned the title and all that goes with it.
