; it wouldn't be a problem

For what I understood, that if you leave for over a year, that would become a problem...

Good luck & auf wiedersehen :star:

Nane,

you will need a letter from your husband for the 2 year old.

Seeing that medical care/child birth are handled much better in Germany than US and that you will probably have help with the new baby from your family in Germany - it is a good place to have a baby.

I wish you luck and hope that you find serenity,

Rika

PS You will not have immigration issues with what you are trying to do.

rika, thank you for your reply. I know it's not neccessarly the airline that would give me problems, I just don't see me flying overseas and back within weeks of my delivery date. IF I go, I'd stay until after the baby is born.

At this point, I just have to figure out for myself if it would be wise to leave at all. It sure would give me a well needed time out but it wouldn't help the situation I am going through with my marriage.

I just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't stay for the wrong reasons, out of fear of having any problems immigration wise.

Another question: My 2 year old has a german and a US passport, if I took him out of the country with me, would I need anything in writing from my husband that he agrees that I take him with me?

DavenRoxy, normally I wouldn't have been worried about leaving the US for a few months, my concern was that I just came back after being overseas for 3 years. Eventhough I was on my husbands military orders, I just wanted to make sure

I wouldn't have any problems with that leaving so shortly after arriving back here.

On another note, I will stay here and don't go back to Germany. We had a long conversation about our problems and we both agreed that we need and want to support each other through this difficult situation.

We have been "homeless" since May when our householdgoods got packed up for our move back to the US. We were supposed to be in Louisiana for only 3 weeks and then move up to North Dakota. Well, that move got postponed due to the flooding up there and by the time they would let us go, the military said they won't let us move because I am so close to my due date.

This means, we are moving from hotel to hotel and all this has been very stressful on us all.

I hope that explains it all a little bit.

Thank you all for your advice and your wishes, I really appreciated that!:)
