Once your I-129F is approved. What are the steps they will take to notify us? Will they be sending out a package to me (in canada) from the embassy telling me the things i need? and the date of my interview? will they also let me know where and when my medical exam is ? or do i have to make my own appointement? Or when my fiance has to send out my copy of the approved I-129F ? Is it true that the more information you have, the quicker its going to go ?? and also, is there a way online i can check the status of our case?

We are in the process of getting our information for the I-129F and have plenty of information to send out. I'm just hating the wait. I want to be with him so badly! I love seeing everyone's process, and i check everyone's dates on the timelines, and they are all different. I hope mine goes quick!!!!!! Oh i hope i have enough patience during this long wait !!!!! First step, I-129F!!! PS. Any advice on how to deal with the waiting times? haha Thank you!!

Take a look at the flow chart to see estimated times and what to expect

No, the more info you have doesn't make it any quicker, you'll just have to wait - which i know is the hardest part

You'll book your medical - there are only 4 doctors in Canada you can go to, one in Vancouver, 1 in Toronto and 2 in Montreal, not sure where in Canada you are but yes, it HAS to be one of those doctors.

What helped with my wait, which was 10 months from start to finish, is to stay busy. We had been apart before so staying busy helped the time go by quicker and there is no way my husband would have put up with me being a miserable lump during this process

Good luck

If your interviewing in Montreal it will be slow, I would suggest getting the package yourself from the website because the mail from them is not really reliable.

After you get the approval in the mail call NVC and get the case number from them then wait a week and call DOS and ask about your case if they said they have it and sent packet 3 get it off the internet and fill it up collect the stuff and send it back.

You need to sign up online to book your DHL location as well as your interview. This is done after you send packet 3 back and after you know that packet 4 is logged and sent.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.
