Can anybody relate?

I just got off the phone with the NVC and there is no sign yet of my case! This is really hard for me cause I the beneficiary... am doing pretty much all the work and "running around" for this because my partner is currently on deployment.

Trying to stay positive. Trying even harder to keep my cool.

Filed in March. Noa2 Approved in June. No sign of my case yet.

Argh! Fustration!

Did you call the NVC and get an operator on the phone? Don't rely on their automated system. I got my MNL number in two weeks after NOA2 by talking with an operator at the NVC. All you need is that number, then you can pay the visa fees and make your appointment. I had the number a month before actually receiving a letter and my fiancée has never received a letter yet. But her medical is done and we have an interview on the 1st of Aug.

What do you mean pay visa fees? I thought we pay for visa fee at the beginning, when we just file I-129F, fiancé visa? Isnt it?

NVC forwarded my petition to Russia, what are my next steps? Wait till they receive it and then contact Russian embassy? Will they give me the appointment date or I can choose the date? Also, when should I send the additional documents like I-134 form (affidavit of support), ds156/k? Or anything else?

Thank you very much guys

NOA2 29th June,

Still nothing at NVC

Called yesterday and they send scan and email a copy of our NOA2 to them.

We got the same thing, the NOA2/Approval from CSC was dated 27 June and still nothing. I called NVC and spoke to a rep and they also asked to send a copy of the NOA2 to NVCRESEARCH@state.gov. About 2 days later they replied and said they don't have it... Grr... Does the CSC only send apps in large batches to NVC? Thought I read something about that elsewhere on VJ...:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your

inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action - Approval Notice.

Unfortunately, we do not have record of receiving your approved petition

from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The NVC will contact

USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of this petition.

Sincerely,

Morgan

Some people have actually gotten a representative to admit the batches occur this way, but frequency is uncertain. I keep hearing "a large batch has arrived"... well nothing for me :( Good luck to you.

It seems NVC is very back logged on sending out the notice that they received the petition from USCIS.

My fiancee has already gone to the embassy and been approved for her visa, and I still have not received anything from USCIS, I did call them, and they had my case 10 days after NOA2, but I never received the hard copy they said they mailed to me.

Also, sometimes USCIS send the petition directly to the consulate (Embassy) , make sure you read the NOA2 carefully.

Hope this helps.
