Fustration! No sign of my case yet with the NVC

Quick question out of curiosity,

if the validation date of the petition passes before the interview, is there any chance to get interviewed at the embassy? For my petition already one month is gone and as we can see there is no hope from NVC. I am wondering what could happen if the petition expires before the interview.

NOA2 date of June 17th..... I called USCIS today and I was told that my case was shipped on July 13th from USCIS.

18 Jul 2011 - phone call to NVC. Paperwork received, checked and complete. Now awaiting an interview date at the US Embassy Manila.

Many times I have been given the standard answer of "20 business days to process the paperwork." Mine took about 16 business days.

Yes it is pitiful and painful. The waiting is the worst part. I have not seen my wife since 21 Jan 2011 when I returned to the US. So we text and skype and try to pass the months that way.

Backlog in progress, every time i got frustrated and was ready to call, write etc. information came. patience is the name of the game here.

Thank god I thought I was going crazy! We were approved June 14th haven't heard anything yet, since its been over a month I have been starting to get really worried. Will get my fiance to call today to see if we can hurry it up a bit!!!

I would be very suprised if you were not already in NVC system.. The letter is probably in the mail.. Call and get the case number and then come back and give us some good news to celebrate.

Same boat here!!! NOA2 June 22nd. Just got an Email today from the NVC that our petition is "en route" from the USCIS. Whatever !!!! We will just have to wait and see what happens. Good luck to everyone and hope we get them soon!

You can always request from the embassy to extend the date, which I have never heard of it being denied before. If you happen to sit at NVC(which I hope you do not) for some time more, then after your paperwork gets to the embassy send them an email requesting to extend your validation date if you need more time. I hope NVC will fast forward and things will be done quickly giving us enough time to process the rest of it. it is good to know that and thank you for the information.
