More FEES in Lagos??

I have paid for the Visa Application fee for my husband($404)plus AOS fee ($88)and of course the original filinf fee of $355 and have receipts,but I am wondering if I will have to pay any other fees for him AT his interview??I called the consulate's office in Lagos and they directed me to email which of course I have also done with no response.Anyone know if we should expect any other fees at the interview?? Just want to be prepared..

There will be the cost of the medical examination. That's paid to the clinic that conducts it.

For the CR-1/IR-1 that is all of the normal fees. As Ryan says, you will have the medical and if he can not stay to pick up the visa then he will probably have to pay to have it mailed to him. You can check the consulate website for how they do delivery of the passport and visa.

I had that same question awhile ago when I was researching all the steps and fees needed, because the Nigrian website was talking about paying at the interview. I was told by a member of VJ that we have paid all our fees to NVC, so there should not be fees at the interview. I am sending copies of the paid receipts for AOS and IV with him in case it comes up.

Maybe somone who has interviewed recently at Lagos can answer for sure.

There are no more fees at the interview but there is a fee of like 2000naira or so when you pick up your visa at the VFS location.

Ok,thanks everyone and yes he has already paid and finished his medical,just worried that there may be some other fees when he arrives for his interview.I know how that embassy is as Ive been there and they seem to always have some reason to get more money out of people.

and yes Toni,I have actually scanned the copies of the receipts and Kingsley has them now,just to be sure!!

We're in the same boat..i read on here under embassy info for nigeria, that there is also a $350 visa fee that have to be paid in Lagos. Also for the medical, which have a two-part fee, comes up to about $200-$250 US...so that's another $550. Dont know how true it is, but i saw it under the nigeria embassy info.

That $350 visa fee is a K visa fee that is paid at the Consulate. Since the OP's spouse going to be interviewing for a CR-1 visa, the fees will have been paid to the NVC.

Matador: I looked at your timeline it shows that you are on the CR-1 track. If that's the case, then your fees will be paid at the NVC and not the Consulate.

Hi,i have also payed the $250 for his medical so I hope that will be the end of the fees with the exception of the visa fee upon approval,which I'm told is about 2000 naira..
