Hello All,

We had our interview on June 15th. We had to submit some more documents after this and we did so with a week.

Then on June 30 they reviewed the case again and mailed out a letter on July 6 saying they needed more clarification or more documents pertaining to a death certificate from her fist husband that died in 1993. Now she was married since and we had it annuled through the philipine Courts.. :bonk::bonk:

She is still in Manila as she just finished getting a affidavit stating the difference in names is in deed the same person.

Is it possible to get an appointment and deliver the documents in person and close the case?

If she has to have the documents courier through 2GO how long will it take them to review the latest documents and decide on our case.

How soon if at all can we start calling the actual visa section and check on the case.

I would appreciate any input you guys may have.

Good Luck One and All.

In our case, it took the Embassy very little time to review documents that Chinook submitted after her interview. Chinook had her visa in hand one week after submitting the final required document. However, it can sometimes take weeks for the Embassy to close a case. I'm guessing it depends on the work load of the consular officer involved.

I'm not sure if the Embassy allows appointments for submitting documents since they now have a system set up through 2Go to do it.

Also, if you wanted to take the documents directly to the Embassy yourself (without an appointment), you would have to talk your way past the guard and then you could try to submit the documents to Window 17 or to Window X. Chinook did exactly that the second time she was asked to submit a document.

Hang in there. Your time is coming!

They must DOT and CROSS everything. If it is what they are seeking from you, then count on around 7 days after the documents are submitted. My fiance was surprised when they showed up at the house with visa in tow.

I appreciate the replies. I hope this is all they need. I just do not see why it matters if she was married in between this document and now but we did not fuss we just did what we could.

I have been painting around the house hanging a porch swing and working on the electrical projects.

We have a dual wedding planned with my sister on August 13th and I have split the costs with my sister. If Rina is unable to make it I will be out even more money which would really suck.

Thanks again Good luck everyone.
