Airport taxes and fees

Hello! I just want to ask fellow Filipinos who already traveled outside the country to be with their loved ones in the US. I know that I should pay the 750 pesos but I have read that I am also required to pay 2,200 (not the exact figure but I think it's close to that) aside from the 750. Is that true?

Another thing, I had my interview last July 14. I am trying to track my visa using the NVC case number and it is still showing invalid. I chose 2go Caloocan (pick up) thinking that it'll be quicker since I live 2 provinces away from Manila. I can pick up the visa then go straight to St Mary's and my CFO sticker. Does it really take 7-10 business days even for visa pick up??

There are 2 fees that are normally:

1. Passenger Terminal Fee is levied on all passengers embarking for:

a. International travel (including Security Fee): PHP 750.

b. Domestic travel: PHP 200.

2. Philippine travel tax - Php 1,620.00 (Php 2,750 for first class travel) per adult:

Imposed by law for all Filipino Passport holders, returning resident (immigration status 13 A,B,C,D,E,G), Recognized Filipino Citizens (RFC) & Permanent Residents (immigration status RA 7919 & RA 7837), as well as other nationalities staying longer than one (1) year in The Philippines.

It must be paid only upon leaving The Philippines.

When my wife bought her ticket for travel on Cathay Pacific - the fee was included in the price of the ticket.....so ask the airline/TA if the fee is included in the price of the ticket (the receipt you receive after the purchase will also tell you).

Terminal Fee is PHP750.

Travel Tax Fee is PHP1,650.

In my case, I paid PHP1,750 (travel tax). I flew first class all the way from Manila-Japan-Dallas via JAL-AA.

The Philippine travel tax (Php 1,620.00) is waived if the Philippines passport holder has a permanent resident card from another country (i.e. a US green card).

yes it is. but you can get a reduced travel tax certificate for kids at the tourism office which cuts it by half. you can read about it here http://www.philtourism.com/ttax.html - it's the second question "Who can avail of tax exemption/reduced rate?", scroll down regarding minors from ages 2 to 12 (Section C)
