One of the cool bits about being a member here, is that one has something useful to contribute.

If __YOU__ are not in the USA, with all of these hearts/points - somethings busted in yer Immigration Journey - perhaps tis time for you to be elsewhere? IE - you've run your course, and aren't in the USA any longer... You made yer choice for domicile - it ain't the USA - so yer POV for these things is not only skewed - but yer basis for existence on VJ is tenuous - yer done, left the USA for other pastures...

Which pastures do you graze in, these days?

And why do you keep coming back to a web portal that focuses on issues relevant to immigration to the USA?

I'm sorry, I don't wish to poke at you, but if yer done with that relationship, no further need of USA immigration issues - wouldn't you best be served by a different web portal, that focuses on YOUR issues?

You're going to have to accept that you have no influence over these things.

It appears the UN is largely irrelevant, again.

Although many nations have abolished capital punishment, over 60% of the world's population live in countries where executions take place, inasmuch as the People's Republic of China, India, the United States of America and Indonesia, the four most populous countries in the world, continue to apply the death penalty (although in India and Indonesia it is used only rarely). Each of these four nations voted against the General Assembly resolutions.

The United States is a sovereign nation and that's the end of that. As for the Republic of Texas...

The UN sure doesn't have a problem with bombing Libya.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I answered the question that was posed. Your issues with the UN don't have any bearing on it.

i don't put a lot of faith in the un since their oil for food fiasco. yeah, i'm a pessimist.

The UN sure doesn't have a problem with bombing Libya.

well that's different, there's oil involved!

Actually it would include such people. However, you lack moral credibility if you can, say, find humour in an act of mutilation but then be outraged by the Korean practice of slaughtering dogs for food.

You made an assumption about my position on genital mutilation and now you condone the wholesale slaughter of dogs as well as the brutal murder of children. Very interesting.
