I am assembling the final parts of my original I-129F package. made several photocopies of my birth certificate. Is this okay or do you need like an original certified copy from the government (the ones that you pay)? Thanks.

A copy of it. Make sure you copy the front and the back of your birth certificate.

Yes. I photocopied the front and back (although my BC has nothing written on the blank, I made a notice saying blank side is on the original). I was just thinking maybe I had to get one of those certified paid copies.

"... A. If you were born in the United States, give USCIS a copy, front and back, of your birth certificate."

---> thats what it says on form I-129F

Yep.. I just wasn't sure what kind of copy (or whether it had to be a certified one) were they asking for. But thanks.

If they were asking for a certified one it would say so on the form. You good to go with a regular copy.
