USCIS How long to cash check?

I sent mine July 5th priority mail so it was signed for and still nothing for me either, still waiting on the stupid check to cash already.

Getting nervous!

We mailed ours USPS on June 27th with the email/text notification form etc. The check has yet to be cashed and we have not received any text or emails yet. Starting to get worried. We'll probably start making calls next week. Though, like others have said, it may be challenging without a receipt or tracking number. For those that also waited a long time for the check to be cashed, did you receive the text notification earlier or around the time the check was cashed as well? Thanks much!

We sent ours in late June, took 2 weeks for return receipt to get back to us. No activity on check, I called just to see if they received package and was told to wait a month before calling*.

Hi all,

New here as a Petitioner. I've already gone through the process as a beneficiary many years ago. I am now a US citizen and petitioning for my new husband!

We sent in our I-485 + I-130, EAD & AP package to the Chicago Lockbos on Saturday July 16th. It was signed for and delived on July 18th.

I will let you guys know when our check cashes. Good luck to all!

Our was sent to Chicago via Fedex. It took them almost a month to cash our check and we never got any notification by email or text (even though I did get such notifications during the fiance process). I guess it is good for us to know that it happens to others as well so it is not just us. It seems like Chicago has management issues. I was glad to finally see the check cashed since I was wondering if it got totally lost. Meanwhile we are getting more anxious each day for the AP to be done since we are hoping to visit her family next month. I hope they can get the AP done soon.

Thanks to all those that put our fears at ease. We just received our email notification that USCIS received our materials. Sent on 6/27 and notified on 7/22. The check has not yet been cashed, but at least we heard something! Best of luck to everyone else!

Got packet back today with rejection notice for incorrect fee . my wifes fee $1070.00, daughters fee $635.00 = $1705.00. Guess they want 2 seperate checks!

What is "email notification form" that some of the people mentioned? I guess we won't get an email notification as we didn't fill out such forms... It's been two weeks, we are half way through, I hope
