A lil chime on the celula late last Friday night, was a text from USCIS, notifying us of an update on our case status... THAT BEING.... LA VISA ESTA APROVADOOO!

What a good feeling that is!

Por Fin! NOA2.

Here at last.

Who hasn't received noa2, who filed in July ... should be coming soon, I'd think.

Congrats!! Looks like everyone from July is getting their approvals

Finally after almost 6 months, USCIS approved my petition my fiancee. It's an email I have been waiting for for sometime now and now that I finally know, I am ecstatic!! Too bad I feel "under the weather" now to celebrate. The wait is now over and time to move on to the second phase!!

Congratulations! So happy for you both  Hopefully we will receive ours anytime now  Yours and our timelines are very close. I will keep checking our USCIS case status several times a day. Again, congratulations and may your visa be in hand very soon

How long does it take VSC to send the hard copy of the NOA2? According to the email I received on January 2, it stated "On December 30, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)" and I still haven't received it. If I don't have the hard copy by Saturday, should I contact VSC and tell them I never received the letter in the mail??

Greetings to all my fellow July filers!

Just wanted to update you.

I followed the peitition from NVC to the Embassy by tracking it via DHL. By the time the at petition got to San Jose Fresy already had everything she'd need for the interview (she even had her medical done once I called NVC to get her SNJ case number).

She received her packet 3 at the Embassy at 1:00pm this Monday and she was able to schedule her interview for tomorrow (1/12) at 12:00! Not too shabby with only 3 days between having the package 3 in her hands to interview!

Tonight will be a restless night, but we know all will be ok. We're well prepared for the interview and well organized.

Wish us luck - we'll update tomorrow as soon as we're done at the Embassy!

Just found this thread and wanted to say 'hello' to all the July filers :) It took us 144 days for our NOA2. Now I'm just fighting the urge to call the Montreal embassy to see if they've logged our packet 3, but since it only arrived yesterday and they probably don't have it logged yet I'll give it a day or two.... I'm just anxious to schedule my interview and know how long it is going to take! Good luck everyone :)

Hi all.

Just wanted to update all my fellow July filers...

Fresy's interview went fine. All our documents were in order, neatly organized into 4 folders.

1) Proof of ongoing relationship - emails, ecards, phone records

2) DS-forms for the Consulate

3) I-134 and financial documents

4) Fresy's birth certificate, single certificate, police records

Interview was quick. Pre-screener asked for docs, Fresy had them in the order they were asked for and Conulate's questions were like those asked before (how did you meet, what does your fiance do for a living, etc)...

Visa in hand, Fresy flies here Saturday morning (arrives Ft. Lauderdale at 5:50am)... I'll meet her right outside of Customs and we fly home to Ohio a couple of hours later.
