I have not really registered to the USCIS website to check my status... What do I need to do that?

On the USCIS website, there's a link on the left, under services, "sign up for case updates". Register as an applicant customer and use your receipt number for your case.

You can turn email notifications and text messages on and off, and see whenever they "touch" your file.... pretty neat, but really just another thing to obsess over...

Maybe I'll do this. But yeah, seems like another thing to obsess over. I'll wait until October rolls around for VJ's projected date for any NOA2 notice. lol. We're going on with business as usual. Lucky for me, my fiance keeps me sane and grounded. I'm the one who's all, "Ah I want to hear from them, this date and that date." He tells me to relax, though I'm sure I can almost hear his eyes rolling. lol :D

Filed July 19th, packet received July 21st, check cashed July 22nd, Email notification that packet was being sent to California for processing July 23rd. We hope to hear something around November. Anything before that would be a BONUS, trying to stay realistic. In the meantime we keep eachother sane by knowing that after this is a lifetime together and that this process (important as it is) will pale in comparison. God Bless you all.

Hello please help, we filed the petition on July 22 but still didn't hear bak from them :"(

Did you include a G-1145? If you did, they will email and/or text you when they process the application. I have read that it could take up to a month to receive the physical NOA1.

Yes we included it that's why I'm freaking out :( this can only mean that the package was lost in the mail, is that possible??

Guys, do papers filled out and letters written by me (eg. letter of intent) have to be originals with ink signatures or can scans do as well??

It must be original signature. If you send the scanned copy, the most probable is that you shall receive a RFE.

If you are the beneficiary, and you guys want to start the process asap you can send the beneficiary paperwork scanned, but in the meanwhile send the original ones to your fiance, so when your fiance gets the RFE you guys will have them ready and the RFE won't take too long to process.

Did you call the USCIS? What happened with your package?
