What a stressful process to endure. Hoping today may be the day.

There will be plenty more to obsess over...I'm sure you'll find something, um, more productive to talk about.

Hey all! Just dropping in and sending some good vibes.

I know the waiting for the NOA2 suck and is emotionally draining. But today I was talking to my fiance, and we agreed that in retrospect a few more months to wait is a hell of a lot better than a few more years. Lots of us are closer than it feels to that day our loved one will be here.

Just a little bit of positive energy for you all... ... rose.gif

Nice sentiments between you and your fiance and you are looking at this process in an excellent and mature matter. I on the other hand am ready to drive to CSC, find an adjudicator in the parking lot and drag them to their chair for 20 minutes to approve my petition...

I do however appreciate your positive energy. I am positive that USCIS sucks! :innocent:

You mean to tell me they started paying USCIS employees? Now I'm really pissed knowing they get paid for crappy service!

Day 147 - still nada. Gotta love it.

Ok, ok Niunia. I'll try it this way:

"Gosh, those USCIS employees are awesome. I can't believe they have to go to work in those ugly government buildings and work those long hours for the small pay they receive. God bless the USCIS"... Better? :innocent:

I know it's the holidays, Mr. or Mrs. or Ms. USCIS adjudicator at the VSC, and I know you are working your poor fingers to the bone, and I know you're not paid enough to do all that you do, BUT I sure would be ever so grateful if you could see your way to my file, which is there somewhere, and send me an NOA2 for Christmas. How's the butt smooching working for all of us? Hmmm - I think I'll just return to my original premise...

USCIS sucks. They DO NOT adjudicate petitions in the order in which they are received - even though they say so. Igor's list doesn't lie, just show the true nature of the bull$hit that is USCIS.

I'm now at the point of "when it comes, it comes". Christmas is out of the realm of reality, so is New Years. What is most difficult to fathom is that when I first filed CSC was approving I-129F's in 60-75 days (90 days max). Now that I'm on day 148 I'm wondering if mid-January is a realistic expectation.

USCIS is a monopoly and as such, their attitude is that they are doing you a favor to adjudicate your petition. What a croc of #######! They post guidelines on thier site, exceed them every day, and are never answerable to anyone.

No more smooching USCIS's booty. Now they can kiss mine.

Okay - I'm getting down off my soapbox. Feel better though.

LOL I hear you though!

It's frustrating to see people who filed in mid August starting to get theirs, while people even from June are still waiting. It doesn't seem fair. And there is no rhyme or reason.

Extra frustrating for me. My fiance is from a low (practically no) fraud country, with very few people who are trying to immigrate here on a K-1. I'd feel a smidge better if there was some reasoning "Oh yours will get pushed back because it's a high fraud country, so we need to look into it more." But no. It just means I was a dumbass and filed at the wrong time of the year. If I had filed in February or March, my fiance would be here. But I was waiting on a copy of my Birth Certificate to get mailed to me, on top of getting his paperwork mailed to me. headbonk.gif Back then, CSC was knocking out the approvals fast.

There's no rhyme or reason to the stupidity of USCIS. The reason I'm so pissed is that Fresy COULD have been here for Chritmas. San Jose is a VERY accomodating Embassy. I've emailed them several times through the process, and they've always responded quickly. Matter of fact, they emailed me a packet 3 so I could get a jump start on getting all the required docs done ahead of time. They were even willing to accomodate an interview the week of December 19 provided I received my NOA-2 and got through NVC and had petition to them by December 15. This would have put the visa in Fresy's hands on December 22 and she could have flown December 23 - viola - Christmas here.

Well, long story short. Cutoff for my petition to have gotten to the Embassy by December 15th would have been a NOA-2 by December 8 (assuming a week at NVC). It's December 8th, NO NOA-2 (STILL) and therefore no way for her to get here for the holiday.

Almost 150 days, no touch - nada. USCIS can kiss it big time a far as I'm concerned. Of course I am not angry at August or September filers that already have their NOA-2's. They are lucky, I am not. Of course, USCIS processes petitions in the order that they are received...

Honestly, I was surprised when I got the txt message at 9:15 Tuesday night from USCIS. I was going to wait till the 21 of December to call. You have all the right to be upset. Just would like to know what order they go by. It is pretty evident it's not how they receive the petitions. All I can say to everyone it's coming soon.

I just spent the last two hours working on all the rest of the forms and trying to get all my phone records and whatever else I have. My first set of paper we sent with the I129-F consisted of 77 pages. It looks like I will have at least that many if not more to send this time.

Don't give up and we are all here for you when you need to vent.

Thanks bro for understanding. It's ironic to me... In my business life I make logical assumptions, don't make emotional decisions and I don't fly off at the handle. Of course in my business life I also have a business ethic and treat my clients with respect and dignity.

When it comes to the immigration process, there is no logic. There is no respect. There are no ethics. I honesty was SO happy to see your NOA-2 news and I logically thought that based on our similar NOA-1 datess mine would follow either later that night or the next day after you received yours. Now 3 days later and I still haven't had a touch.

Someday USCIS will come clean and explain how they "choose" which petitions are processed before others. This should be a transparent process, with EVERYONE being able to track in real time exactly what petition number is being processed by USCIS. If they really did what they claim to do (process first in, first out) then no one could ever be frustrated. Even if the process took a full 6 months, if we were able to see where USCIS was in processing - this would be a tolerable experience.

I can't believe in 2011 there is not technology that exists where the USCIS site could not provide the information I'm describing above. Hell - if they need IT help I'll bet there are 1,000 VJ'ers who have the necessary knowledge to do the programming inside of a week. BUT, being that it's USCISS it will never happen.

Arrgh!!!! :bonk:
