Hi AZ11,

Wow, you are brave navigating the mall alone...hahaha. I was only brave enough to buy mine a couple of coats and a scarf along with a pair of winter boots. I don't want to take a chance on the rest of the clothing. I know what you mean about the temperature difference but I plan on keeping her warm by staying close to her...heh heh.

Thanks for the support, I'm sure your NOA-2 is right behind ours!

I'm kind of resigned to the fact that Christmas is out, still hoping for perhaps having her here in time to watch the ball drop together for New Years...

I know I must REALLY love Fresy! Tonight I braved the crowds at the malls to get her some winter clothes and a couple of coats. I know she must REALLY love me because she is willing to move to the suburbs of Cleveland to be with me. Poor woman has NEVER seen snow and she's cold when the temperature gets "down" to 72...

AOS will be a breeze. They can take as long as they want because we have no plans to travel back to Costa Rica for vacation until mid-summer next year.

I'm no braver that you Dan... Sounds like we both had the same shopping lists. So far I bought Fresy a jacket (North Face) and a 3/4 length coat, a couple of hats, gloves, ear warmers and a scarf.

Once she gets here we'll go shopping for sweaters and the such. I know she'll need a coat when she gets off the plane, but the rest we'll get once she's here.

Oh - almost forgot (actually I didn't forget at all)... I was wandering past Victoria's Secret and stopped in. I told Fresy the gifts are for her, but in all actuality I'm the one who will be the recipient of those gifts :innocent:

Here's hoping tomorrow is our day Dano!!!

Some folks status says "initial review" even after they have their NOA-2 in hand. The USCIS website is known to be pretty unreliable in terms of updating.

Boy Az and Dano you guy's are really brave. Going to those hell holes scare me. Then again, with both of your girl's coming to this climate they will need the warm clothes. I guess in a way I'm lucky. Poland's weather is similar to our's here in Chicago. The only thing I plan on going to Poland when we get the visa with an empty suitcase. Truth be told, I HATE going to the mall (even more so this time of year), but the heaviest item of clothing that Fresy has is a coulple of light weight sweaters. I picked up a jacket, a coat and some other cold weather gear for her so at least I can get her from the airport to the car when she arrives.

Then we'll go shopping for what she needs the following day.

Oh man. So glad I'm not in an area where it snows.

Although, I do love coats and warm clothes! Funny, one of the first place my fiance wants to take him when he gets here is shopping too. lol :D

Az, still no NOA 2, really??

Hey Tonga...

Nope - believe it or not - STILL - no NOA-2. Honestly, I really thought we'd be right behind you when you got yours but nothing yet.

It was really hard to tell Fresy that Christmas here wasn't going to happen. My poor girl is living in limbo, just waiting for my call to tell her we have the approval. This whole process is so stressful our daily conversations revolve around it:

Me: Hola mi amor, te amo!

Her: Hola baby

Me: How was your day?

Her: Good, how was yours?

Me: USCIS is pendajos!

Her: USCIS is assolhitos (our Spanglish word for #######!)

Arrrgh! I just want this portion done with! I keep hoping today is the day, but not feeling any love from CSC.

It is great to see many other folks getting their NOA-2's, just wish they'd do mine before approving anymore August or September filers...

Keep you posted.
