K1 Visa timeline for the London embassy

HI Everyone,

I realize that this must get tedious to everyone who sees the same questions posted, so i just want to thank everyone in advance for taking the time to help me.

I am currenty in the US on my VWP and i am trying to time when to go back to the uk for interviews and medicals etc etc.

We had a NOA2 on the 1st Jul11 and i am not sure what i must do next.

My plan at the moment is to wait for Packet 3 to turn up at my house in the UK where i have pre filled in all the forms, which can be posted while i am still in america.

My question is after i send packet 3, how long does it take to get an interview and medical date?

I really want to stay in the US till pretty much it time to come back for an interview, so im trying to time things at the moment

Do i need to contact NVC for any reason?

if you have your case number and the documents you need book your medical now. When I first called them before I had all this they said it was usually a weeks wait but when I was ready it was then almost a 3 week wait for the first appointment so I would suggest that you book as soon as you can. I believe they get the results in 5 days and after the embassy received this and has processed your documents and received the checklist they send you a letter out with your interview date. My medical was June 8th and my interview was July 13th. I had submitted all my documents and checklist before my medical. Hope this helps you some, others may have more information for you too. so nothing happens till i book my medical myself? i thought perhaps London sent me a letter informing me to send in documents and book a medical? thanks in advance
