From what I read, small donations of up to $250.00 - well over half a million of those - make up 98% of this total.

Without getting into the pissing contest currently underway in this thread, I will say this about the Ron Paul money bombs. They are impressive but what would be even more impressive is if he can demonstrate the ability to meet the Romneys in total quarterly fundraising. Raising 2 mill in 24 hours is nice, but if you then drop down to near-zero for the next 2,190 hours then that doesn't add up to much more than a PR event.

If you have the mother of all PR events and each time another candidate raises money and your name is brought up, didn't you get more bang for your buck?
