My Husband is finally here. He arrived Sunday the 10th. But now I'm confused. At the INS office I can no longer just go there to ask questions and I don't know where to apply for the adjustment status. They gave my Husband a packet to give to the INS when he gets here. I saw that I can make an InfoPass appointment on the web, but it doesn't have the 'applying for adjustment status' option. Do I select the one that says to talk to an immigration officer? Thanks. Just wondering what the next step is!

Please look at the "guides" from Visa Journey. It will tell you the forms, fees and where to send your documents.

Good Luck

Did your husband give in his packet at point of entry? Just wondered from the way you worded your post.

Essentially, you need to fill in the Adjustment of Status forms (as found in the guides.)

These forms, with certain supporting documents, are then sent to the Chicago lockbox.

Your husband can apply for a work permit at the same time if he want sto. (there is conflicting evidence as to whether this is worthwhile. It seems to depend on your local office. My AOS process only took just over 3 months)

You do not need AP as your husband is on K3 multiple entry visa.

I found the Adjustment paperwork to be simpler than the K1/3 process so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting organised for it.

Good luck to you.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Maybe you should consider getting legal advise, USCIS is not there to give you guidance. And any you receive should not be relied upon.
