I have pretty much the packet together, but I was reading that you include tax transcripts... Now, I made copies of several parts of my tax return does that count or do I have to have the transcripts?

Thats somehow correct, but its not gonna make a big difference as of what I see

Tax Transcripts are easier to obtain and read rather than a return

your w2s will only have one name on whereas the tax transcripts will have both of your names on along with your address. it would definitely be a good idea to order the transcripts. if you haven't moved house since you filed your taxes you can use the website no_where_man to order all the ones you have filed together.
