I have pretty much the packet together, but I was reading that you include tax transcripts... Now, I made copies of several parts of my tax return does that count or do I have to have the transcripts?

thanks everyone!

Thats somehow correct, but its not gonna make a big difference as of what I see

Tax Transcripts are easier to obtain and read rather than a return

In case you want your transcripts, you can get them for free by mail in 4-5 days, just go to https://sa2.www4.irs...of-tra/start.do

this is an IRS link to order your tax transcripts for free online

Good Luck

They prefer transcripts

your w2s will only have one name on whereas the tax transcripts will have both of your names on along with your address. it would definitely be a good idea to order the transcripts. if you haven't moved house since you filed your taxes you can use the website no_where_man to order all the ones you have filed together.
