This is the story.

My mother has a Permanent Resident Card for 10 years. She got married –in good faith– with my step father who's the father of my older sister and an US Citizen. But now they are separated.

In addition, since my Conditional Permanent Resident Card has expired 4 months ago, my status in college is in hold. I know that I have to file the Form I-751 and a waiver request to prove to the director of the appropriate Service Center that there was good cause for failing to file the petition on time. Eventually, I am in that process.

Nevertheless, I want to know what would happen if my application to remove the conditions on my permanent residence is denied? I know that I can appeal, but what are other possibilities?

This is really stressful, because I'm going to turn 21 next year and if my mother becomes an US Citizen, it is going to take so long! :crying:

Thanks for reading :)
